Worldwide Payment Systems(WPS)[](http://www.wpsnetwork.com "Link: http://www.wpsnetwork.com")is a leading data and payment processing company specialized in solutions for the tourist industry that started operating in 1998.

 

WPS offers a wide portfolio of services and personalized instruments to achieve efficiency and transparency when making information or payment transaction. WPS services are classified in three different areas:

 

1.      Payment Solutions.

a.       Commission Payment Processing

b.      TMC payments processing (both annual participation fees and preferred partnership fees)

c.       Prepayments processing.

d.      Processing of payments from ‘’.com travel agencies’’ to other travel agencies or hotels.

e.       Ancillary payments processing

 

2.      Billing Solutions

a.       Automation of the internal billing process of CRS.

b.      CSV(Commission Statement Validation): Automation of the internal billing process of .com travel agencies – Beneficiaries of the payments  can provide WPS with their reservation data periodically, to be checked by the hotels via www.wpsnetwork.com . After being checked, the status of the commissions will be listed on the web, showing which of them are non-commissionable: cancellations, no shows, etc, and which commissions and amounts to expect through WPS.

 

3.      Data Processing

a.       Reporting

i.      Data mining in WPS web portal, available for any recipient or issuer of a payment through WPS, nearly 30 statistics that can be customized.

b.      Reconciliation tools

i.      Online payment tracking in WPS web portal

ii.      DIG (Data Interface Generator): Beneficiaries of the payments can get tailor-made reports by choosing the format and fields they may require for an automated conciliation in their own system. 

iii.      GCR (Global Commission recovery):  Beneficiaries of the payments provide WPS with their reservation data periodically; WPS filters this information with its records and informs them, on line, about the payments that have already been done as well as about those that are in process. For those for which we do not have any information we ask the hotels (clients or not) about the status of those payments. This is not just a conciliation tool , it also helps travel agencies to recover their outstanding payments.

iv.      WCMS

c.       Creation of reports to be presented to tax authorities: DAS

 

WPS has always been very proactive in the industry, participating in initiatives that affect to the whole industry such as the WCMS (Worldwide Commission Management System) or the UGI.
