    I was engaged in prospecting for radioactive minerals in sedimentary and igneous rocks.These minerals were processed to extract enriched uranium to be used in reactors.I was also in- charge of mining camps with 100 to 150 people.

    I completed my masters in Geology with first class honours,I went on to do my Ph.D studies from I.I.T.Kharagpur.Here I specialised on the principles of sedimentary geology. I then applied them to the coalfields of the Godavari valley, Andhra Pradesh.It helped in augmenting their coal reserves.

    The National Institute of Oceanography Goa,conducted a research cruise in the Bay of Bengal in 1986.I was selected pan - India along with 15 other students. After having set sail from Vishakapatnam, we collected data for the next 30 days, we docked at Chennai.
