Involved in the carrying out of the full range of classification and statutory surveys on the range of ship types and ages - oil and chemical tankers (including CAP hull surveys), LNG carriers, container ships, dry cargo (including tug and offshore supply) and bulk carriers.

To assist with technical support in P&I surveys and to provide guidance to P&I Club clients and their ship-owner members. The main duties include but not limited to: Cargo Damage and cargo gear damage Collision damage Grounding - Investigation, advising owners/charterers on safe berthing/ water depths of the channel, monitoring temporary/permanent repairs etc. Crew health and repatriation H&M surveys covered by P&I, Immigration problems, piracy investigation/reporting/prevention.

Have worked on board the Chemical Tanker Ship for about 4 months as an Engine Cadet .  In addition to the normal watch keeping duties related to ship operation, I was working as a Second Assistant to the Senior Engineer and gained knowledge regarding different types of machinery on board the ship.  During this internship period I learnt about safety requirements on board the ship during processes like daily ship operation, Bunkering, Discharging/Loading, Manoeuvring etc.

Advanced Hydrodynamics, Surveying Ships & Offshore Installations, Theory of Plates & Grillages, Design & Analysis of Marine Transport Systems, Marine Transport Economics, Marine Production Technology,Optimal Marine Design.

The degree focused mainly on Marine Internal Combustion Engines, Marine Auxiliary Machinery, Naval Architecture, Applied Mechanics, Machine Drawing, Dynamics of Vibration, Strength of Materials.
