· Mechanochemical synthesis of drug nano-dispersions and nano-particles: A cholesterol reducing drug was manufactured at a 10-100 nm particle size range, in collaboration with an Australian drug development company. Ref: Manufacturing Nanosized Fenofibrate by Salt Assisted Milling, Pharmaceutical Research 26, 6, 1365 (2009). · Characterization of carbon nanoshells: Raman and Electron Microscopy study were used to identify the latest class of hollow and graphitic carbon materials (carbon nanoshells).

Research on manufacturing of drug nano-dispersions and nano-particles by mechanochemical synthesis.

Assisted undergraduate engineering students in determining electrical and corrosion properties of materials including ceramics, metals and polymers. Job responsibility included lecture and demonstration of experiments to over 300 students.
