Adelino José Dionísio Lima

I worked as a Windows and Mainframe Systems Administrator and operator, performing monitoring and maintenance tasks regarding software and hardware, providing support to the engeneering teams and troubleshooting both software and hardware problems. My team was one of seven teams also in charge of the ALCS , Airline Control System , that functioned over the zOS system, being one of our tasks to constantly watch and report or resolve issues and keeping the system with near 100% availability.

Systems and Hardware Administrator, responsible for monitoring the status of the main server infraestructure of CGD bank, ( Caixa Geral de Depósitos ) ,in a Siemens helpdesk project, analize, troubleshoot and liase with the field tech teams any hardware problems that might be experienced. On a later stage i was also responsible and senior member of the Comunications Helpdesk Team and responsible for passing on learning to the junior and intern members.

I was working in the Social affairs department of the ministry as a Windows Systems administrator and also as a consultant and analist for the support and development of a subsidiaries management aplication wich was the primary worktool of the institution. In adiction i was also responsible for planing and executing the structuring of the new networks and perform the evaluation for contracts of external organizations that provided support for our numerous other aplications and infraestructure.

I started working for the Ministry in February 2003 as part of my military service, as i was a student in IT Fundamentals by the Professional School Gustave Eiffel, my studies allowed me to perform military service in the ministry initially as a Windows System Administrator. Later on when the service time expired i was invited to come work for ISINET , the organization that won the support contract for the ministry, and thus i became the main senior technitian on the department.
