Responsible for Quality and Customer Service activities and managing interactions with NXP internal partners and Customers. Managing technical Customer Complaints and identifying and managing the provision of Preventive Improvement actions

Responsible for Quality and Yield activities and managing technical interactions with NXP internal partners and Customers. Managing technical Customer Complaints and identifying and managing the provision of Preventive Improvement actions. Managing Yield Ramp in high volume manufacturing environment. Leadership of the NXP Yield & Defectivity Cluster Team and representing NXP in Sematech yield and metrology activities.

Responsible for Technology Development, Device, Yield and Product Engineering and MIS activities. Defined Technology Development Strategy. Set up working activities with vendors and University/Research establishments including Southampton University and NMRC.

Responsible for all product and process development activities for the power semiconductor business. Responsible for the development of the Innovation Plan as an integral part of the overall business planning cycle, identification of new product development opportunities and subsequent budget justification. Development activities managed, through both internal and external organisations, providing appropriate priority setting.

Responsible for all manufacturing, operationally and technically. This was a start-up organisation with the first year as the construction phase. Directed the technical liaison with BT’s Research Labs and the specialist contractors. Close involvement in the team doing the definition of the staffing requirements, recruitment of the people and implementation of training.

Responsible for all process engineering activities and improvements. Implemented transfer of 5µm NMOS and 5µm & 3µm CMOS processes into production with successful qualifications.

Responsible for development and pilot production of Dry Etch processes.

Solid State Physics & Semiconductor Manufacturing
