React Native, Node.js, MongoDB, Azure, Typescript • Inspired by my own self-learning habits I designed & developed an interactive learning map traversable in any direction at any experience level. From the initial git commit a year later I ended up handling business and product development, offering outsourcing services, hiring staff, applying for funding, and running marketing. The recent health crisis and several major setbacks forced the startup to enter hibernation.

Photoshop, HTML, CSS, Flash, PHP, MySQL, WebGL • I spent half of my career working as an independent contractor. Starting as early as high school I built websites using Photoshop, HTML and CSS. Although familiar with programming since the Turbo Pascal lessons in high school, I started coding websites using pure Javascript a few years later. Early on I was more interested in the graphics side of the business.

Angular, .Net Core, Azure • For half a year, I worked at Axpo as a consultant developer in the energy market. Axpo was revamping their client portfolio management and trading apps. Besides the regular development I contributed by introducing the Ngrx state store and the Cypress testing framework. This was also a great opportunity to learn .Net Core and Azure on the go.

React Native, Typescript, Scala, Akka • I was tasked with setting up the frontend team from scratch. Our job was to develop a GUI for the AI agents that generated trading signals. We developed an entire trading terminal that included elements such as an order book, depth charts and state map. Elements of gamification such as users competing against AI to predict crypto currency pairs evolution were part of the UX. I learned a lot about scalable applications built with Akka and Avro frameworks.

Angular, Typescript, d3.js, three.js • I started right away on the frontend lead position, a bit underprepared, but eager to learn on the go. Rather quickly, I got noticed and assigned on multiple projects beyond the core digital advisory such as: portfolio optimizer, trading floor volatility manager, and financial data visualizations using three.js and d3.js. As a perk for getting involved in all these projects I received a crash course in the world of finance.

AngularJS - This assignment became the foundation of my current web app development skills. With the goal of developing an online scheduler web app I learned from scratch AngularJS. Alongside, I have improved my Javascript skills with topics such as: MVC, OOP, code patterns, separation of concerns and writing clear maintainable code.

Javascript, Photoshop • I designed and implemented in pure HTML and CSS the frontend interfaces for multiple applications and websites. Due to my already growing experience with Photoshop and web design I was tasked to oversee the work of 2 more colleagues. Wanting to further progress in my career, I took the challenge of learning Javascript afterhours.

Dropped out in pursuit of a career in web development.
