MIS Manager’s duties included: managing current and potential IT and ERP strategies, systems functions, identifying and proposing all needed process reengineering starting from SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) and other logistics modules, leading BW (Business Warehouse) project team, being in close cooperation with Italy & Denmark IT Managers and Cementir Holding CIO, participating “Enterprise Operating Model Design” project with Accenture and Holding IT Management.

Assumed full responsibility for the IT related projects. Started systems analysis sessions with key users such as physicians, nurses, and managerial staff from revenue cycle, finance, purchasing/stock control and medical records departments. Was responsible for managing information systems infrastructure for Calik Holding companies, such as GAP Construction Inc. in Turkmenistan, Calik Energy Inc. in Ankara, GAP Southeast Textiles Inc. in Malatya, and GAP Marketing Inc. in Istanbul. Worked closely with Deloitte Consulting for ERP software selection. Evaluated ERP software packages from companies such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft and J. D. Edwards. Was responsible for managing Baysis (a software company owned by Bayindir Holding) and increasing its market share. Baysis developed financial software for banks, finance corporations, factoring companies and other financial institutions. Its clients included investment banks such as J.P. Morgan Bank in Turkey, Tekfen Bank, commercial banks such as BNP-Ak-Dresdner Bank, MNG Bank, Anadolu Bank, Toprak Bank, BTR (Banca Turco Romana) and factoring companies such as TEB Factoring and Facto Finans.

Started a new EDP department and re-structured computer hardware/software platform. Formed a team of programmers and business analysts and developed marBAS, a “real time, on-line” banking software to meet the operational needs of Marmara Bank. marBAS was developed with ORACLE software tools and relational database which ran on any flavor of UNIX operating system.

Worked in CMO (Collateralized Mortgage Obligation) Modeling/Database group, which functioned as a support unit to “CMO Bond Trading Desk”. Assumed full responsibility to maintain CMO Modeling related screen/database interface functions. Reorganized the existing bond system by identifying CMO related routines according to their functionalities in the areas of analytics, utility and update. Created a quality control system to report data modeling accuracy in different databases

Worked as part of development team on CMO Information Service related projects. Developed a manual input mechanism and a screen editor for pre-calculated price/yield tables. Provided capability to control and report system locks of individual “tranche” files in multi-user environment. Created a user data storage system for individual portfolios by writing low level utility routines for data maintenance.

Designed and wrote “WSPS – Water Surface Profile System” and “SPDS – Street Profile Design System” software packages. Both packages gave civil engineers CADD (Computer Aided Design & Drafting) ability to design subdivisions, water channels, streets and highways. They worked as interactive software tools and had capability for external plotting and screen graphics. Assumed full responsibility to support both software packages.

Analyzed the existing engineering software and added new capabilities to it. Worked with civil engineers to define new programming needs on a regular basis. Developed programs in the areas of street intersections, street cut sheets for field surveying, asphalt and base quantities, street templates, horizontal stationing with offsets, profile stationing with vertical curves, earthworks and open channel hydraulics.
