Customized Fidessa's trading systems for banks such as Bank of America/Merrill Lynch and Santander. Coded in Java, bash, XML and others for new features and fixes. Server side - Solaris and Linux and Windows front end work. Sybase SQL for stored procedure and db schemas. Wrote requirements and documentation for clients, QA, UAT, and Ops. Worked with Perforce source code control for change management. Written and verbal communication with clients and team mates to solve technical problems.

Developer for AOF (Amex Order File), a large-scale order processing system providing daily management of Equities, Options, ETFs and Nasdaq Trading. Written in C with a Sybase database, the system consisted of 110 processes running on DEC Alpha 4100s and a VAX 7860, handling up to 200 messages/second. Worked with Eclipse SDE and CVS to support Java gateway applications running on Linux. Transitioned successfully through various corporate changes.

Automated code changes for software upgrades using Ksh, sed, awk scripts, fine-turning the results. Customized lengthy makefiles for C on various Unix flavors, compiling updated code with new libraries. File management, manual and Y2K changes. Database work included Sybase and Oracle interfacing with C, both stored procedures and embedded SQL. Clients included Associated Press, AT&T, Lazard Freres, and the American Stock Exchange.

Developed software for a client-server based system generating Trademark Research reports. System written in C and Sybase and C-shell on Dec Unix, including make utilities. Performed system administration and coding for Compu-Mark Online, an online trademark research system.
