a joint venture with US private equity firm, Angelo Gordon. The company plans to invest up to EUR 250 million in Germany, I am responsible for the expansion through acquisition in Germany. My task is to identify and find dead malls (dead non-functioning shopping centers) to implement the existing self-storage concept. My main task is to manage the communication with the due diligence partners, the vendor and to coordinate all the necessary steps in order to close the deal.

At Principal Global Investors the Pan-European real estate fund manager with 80 bn Euro of assets under management I was employed as a Portfolio Manager and was in charge of clients' investments, concentrating on retail. My aim was to track the maturities of existing lease agreements with a holistic view to merge lettable areas. The creation of such bigger lettable area was a condition for attracting a future anchor tenant for the shopping malls in order to reach the optimal exit.

I had the chance to witness the development of shopping centers and had a deep knowledge of the german retail sector. I was in charge for the planning, research, marketing, and positioning strategy of various shopping malls. My last project was the opening and the exit of a shopping center in Bavaria with a value in the three-digit million Euro bracket.

After my studies in Economics and earning of a master’s degree in Management in Switzerland, I have started as a revenue analyst within the headquarters of Continental Hotels, were I also advised the CEO on revitalization of hotels.
