Dr. Alexander Sturzu

I am a research scientist with a PhD in biochemistry. My research background is drug development for preclinical cancer imaging. My current research interests are oncology, immuno-oncology and experimental therapies. I have extensive experience in operating a research laboratory, planning and conducting research projects and scientific writing. For experimental skills, I am an expert in cell culture, flow cytometry, confocal laser scanning microscopy and mouse animal experiments and have hands-on experience in a wide variety of methods from the fields of cell biology, molecular biology, imaging, genomics and proteomics. I have authored 28 peer reviewed research papers for most of which I was in charge of writing and composing the manuscript and I hold one patent. Additionally, I have experience in writing animal experiment applications and research grant applications. Since 2017 I have been conducting a cell culture workshop for master and PhD students at the ICCBS, Karachi, Pakistan.
