Project title : "Fiber steering optimization using a genetic algorithm for reinforcement of drilled laminates" - Validation of the FEM Software Elmer (with Abaqus) - Establishment of an optimization method of genetic algorithms - Establishment of an automatic method of translating the results of the genetic algorithm - Mechanical design of the machine (CAD + assembly)

Project with the aim to allow production of 3D-weaved streamlined in carbon using a conventional weaving-loom. - In-depth knowledge of the machinery and parameters that affect weaving. - Design of T-shaped streamlined (theory, simulation using DesignScope, tuning of the machinery to produce the designed shape). - Production of this shape using aramid-carbon and carbon-carbon yarns. - Production of carbon made weaves according to client's request.

- Upgrading of softwares used to specify composites behaviour with fire tests. - Editing of softwares manuals. - Participation to tests made by the laboratory.
