I was lucky to be invited to contribute to this seminal book about Asian Germans, edited by Kien Nghi Ha (Berlin: Assoziation A, 2012) In "Gedenkbilder. Auf den Spuren der vietnamesischen Diaspora in Berlin" I visit with 5 German-Vietnamese women living in Berlin, looking for traces of their relationship with "Vietnameseness" through words and images.

My short film "Sunday Menu" (2011, 24 min.) is about a young German-Vietnamese woman dealing with issues of identity in suburban Berlin. It premiered at the Berlinale International Film Festival in 2011 and has since been screened at various film festivals in the US, Europe, and Asia. I directed it under my artist name Liesl Nguyen.
