Research program assistant based on of a new Ultra sonic grinding spindle machining process for producing of optical components.

Responsible for design and development for assembly and manufacturing of interior trim components. Components included were hard trim upper & lower pillars for the new Ford Focus and some experience with headliners for the facelift of the Ford Galaxy / S-Max. Managing international suppliers with a “Build to print designs” liaising with various departments including Styling, Safety; Manufacturing and package etc... Ensuring robust feasible design cost efficient components for mass production global vehicles

Teaching technical students how to read drawings and model 3D components using SolidWorks in a Manufacturing technology centre.

Supporting TVM & PVT to reduce costs in component parts and process optimisation. Vehicles support were Ford Eco-sport and the Fiesta for FSAO.

Responsible for the development of the carpets as Full Service Supplier for the new Ford KA for FSAO. Providing feasibility for the following vehicle areas, interior soft/ trim, electrical, BIW and seating. Using Ford systems: I-DEAS, Metaphase, DFMEA etc. Ensuring robust feasible design components for mass production.

Utilising SolidWorks and AutoCAD to design plastic components and also supported in the development of the production tooling. For example: screw driver handle, water display protector and children’s toys. Gained extensive experience in tool capabilities and learned to work in the 3D world proficiently and take a product from concept through to production. Working as teacher to prepare young students for the industry job market.
