Responsible of research projects, working together with an interdisciplinary team towards the solution of complex problems, with focus on the quantum properties of novel materials and the development of new spectroscopic methods. Main tasks: Managing projects, team and international collaborations. Data analysis and data-driven decision making. Computer modelling. Outreach and communication.

Work in a team of experts from different institutes and backgrounds towards the development of innovative experimental methods and instrumentation, in particular spectroscopic methods to study the electronic properties of quantum materials. Tasks: Data analysis, Develop research methods, Develop and operate instrumentation in large scale laboratories (synchrotrons), Publication of results and talks in large international conferences.

Work in a large team to design, build and operate a state-of-the-art synchrotron laboratory. Develop, test and implement a Matlab-based software for data elaboration and analysis, with graphic unit interface, now used in several laboratories worldwide. Ideate and deign novel experimental methods to study the electronic properties of solids.

Development of X-ray spectroscopy theory and instrumentation to characterize the electronic structure of rare earth compounds.

Mathematical modelling of physical systems. Engineering of innovative electronic, spintronics and opto-electronic devices.
