Depending on the needs for the particular research focus he was allocated several tasks, above all - the validation of altimetry data in coastal areas, - the along-track analysis of altimeter profiles, - Compilation of data and meta data on ARGO floats, and - the validation of tide models by means of continuously recorded GPS data at tide gauge sites in the Antarctic.

His research concentrates on the multi-sensor integration. He is actively involved in the GPS/INS data processing using the AIMS software, on the project involving airborne data collected by researchers in the UNSW Dept. of Aviation. He successfully analysed the flight data and obtained the satisfied GPS/INS integrated solution.
