Dr. Andrea Buratti

Currently responsible for developing the global product area 'Smart Components' throughout the entire product life cycle, encompassing disciplinary, financial, and functional responsibility. This includes Viega's mechatronic solutions (hardware & software) and new business models for intelligent water management.

I help the management boards of Viega's high-tech subsidiaries (150+ employees) to deliver game-changing products and boost the group's business growth. I manage both the strategy and change process. I also managed the functional strategy process of the Corporate Technology (300+ employees) in the context of the Viega 2025 strategy. Moreover, I support the CTO by developing strategic and technical analyses.

Established and led a culturally diverse team of ca. 5 employees for high-tech R&D projects for automobile and measurement equipment manufacturers. Actively participated in the HR recruitment process through assessment centers

I managed 10+ R&D projects in the field of industrial automation and achieved 3 major technological breakthroughs in the respective industries. Supported our customers from the ideation of the automation concept to the successful implementation in production.
