Machine Vision Developer

I worked for the development of vision systems for different clients, mainly developing the software using MVTec Halcon and C#. An important work was the development of a vision system for the control of syringe needles on behalf of Nuova Ompi (www.ompipharma.com). Another important job was the complete update and enhancement of the vision software for a machine produced by Intercom (www.intercomsas.it) that automatically sprays liquid glue on flat pieces.

I cooperated with the Softsystem for modifications of different vision systems installed in Ferrari and in Saint Gobain. I take care of the structural, electronic and software modifications. I studied the development of new vision systems, determining structures and costs. I analyzed different types of sensors for the development of 3D vision systems and I verify their characteristics and limits testing them on sample parts.

I developed vision systems for controlling the product quality or the product assembly for companies as Ferrero, Ferrari, Saint-Gobain, Pierburg. For each system I was responsible of the success of the project. I followed the entire development process of these machines: from the feasibility study to the installation and the final set-up. The main part of my work was to define how to illuminate and control the parts and the development of the algorithm used to analyze each image.
