Andreas Plail

As scientific assistant, I constructed some steel frames and assembled pipes and other parts for an absorption heat pump system. For my bachelors thesis, I helped commission a high temperature generator for a two-step absorption heat pump. I did some calculations for the system controls, developed and conducted some essential procedures and conducted final safety tests before commissioning and evaluating.

This was my internship semester. My job was mostly to supply individual maps for various landowners using ArcGIS and AutoCAD. I also evaluated governmental zoning plans, and entered data into the GIS database. I helped out evaluating various assessments, assessed various project plans, and helped in various other areas.

Intern in a local Master Workshop. I learnt different welding methods, bending metal sheets, cutting, drilling, grinding, and working with angle grinders. Over the course of the Internship I worked on steel banisters, finished multiple projects using various kinds of metal sheets and worked on gutter systems, also rain-proofing roofs.
