I built up a fully virtualized (dockerized) pipeline for code generation, build, test (SIL/HIL) as well as automated deployment and delivery. Systematize workflows and introduce techniques that serve a higher effectivity in collaborative development while at the same time increase the robustness of our technical solutions. Moreover writing software for the application layer running on the embedded platform of various Belimo products.

My responsibilities reached from Real Time software development to DevOps engineering. I was committed to bring software management onto a next level so as to enable scalability at speed. I rearchitected the legacy Real Time software and implemented APIs. I introduced MATLAB to C++ code generation to create components for those APIs. This improved quality and flow of the R&D processes and allowed us to reduce time to market remarkably.

I was responsible for protoyping of new sensor integration solutions in portable electronic devices. I performed field application tasks for customer projects with companies in Korea and Japan. Later I was involved in the developement of in-house R&D facilities in terms of hardware and sofftware.

At IMEC I introduced numerical models to complement their research on PERC/PERL type solar cells. The model included Finite Elements for the semiconductor processes, a raytracer for the anti reflection coating and a network model to account for various ohmic losses.

I was responsible for the analysis and optimisation of the solid oxid fuel cells of HEXIS by means of Finite Element Simulations. I investigated on coupled phenomenas such as thermo-fluid dynamical or thermo-mechanical effects.

I helped ABB Turbosystem in their phase of transition to a more modern CAD environment CATIA V5. I implemented several of their products in CATIA V5

I was involved in the mechanical construction of various research facilities mainly for the synchrotron light source SLS at the Paul Scherrer Institure. Another highlight was to be part of the space project HESSI which was launched in cooperation with ESA and NASA.
