Development of microservices using Typescript with Node.js and Koa

Lead the development of a client application displaying complex real time data collected from across a number of endpoints, using TypeScript, React and Redux. Carried out research into courier route optimisation algorithms Architected API Gateway Authorisation. Helped define logging standards used across all services. Implemented NodeJS logging library.

Development of a suite of microservices for authentication, user management, lifecycle management and communication with third party providers usinng NodeJS, Koa and CouchDB Development of a group of isomorphic components used on both the client and server, which wrap the api of a key third party provider and abstract it into an asynchronous graph model.

Completely redeveloped the front end of the site aboutyou.de. Introduced coding standards, a module system (browserify) and idiomatic backbone/marionette. Delivered huge improvements in page rendering speed, frame rate and general functionality. Electron - A project to define a next generation stack for Project-Collins – ABOUT YOUs parent company –. Developed a Node.js rendering layer enabling fully indexable SEO Friendly Single Page Apps.

Various smaller projects undertaken while I re-skilled from C# and asp.net to an open-source stack including: - A dating website developed using Ruby on Rails and JavaScript - An iOS game developed using Unity3D and C# - A prototype of a mobile dating app developed using meteor.js - The UI of a training tool targeted at clients in the pharmaceutical industry, developed using ember.js

Part of a team redeveloping an existing web application to make it compliant with changes to legislation. My key responsibility was the specification and development of a tool to facilitate communication between many third party organisations' accounting systems and the banking facilities of the DCLG.

I lead a small team developing both in-house tools and websites and applications for DCG/Zoo's digital agency clients.
