• Register and check guests in • confirm relevant guest information • issue room keys and direct guests to their rooms • handle problems or complaints made by guests • answer and direct incoming calls • listen and respond to guest queries and requests both in-person and by phone • provide accurate information about local attractions and services • close guest accounts and check guests out • inform housekeeping when rooms have been vacated and are ready for cleaning

• Present menus and the drink list to customers. • Offer food and drink suggestions. • Take a customer’s order. • Deliver and serve food and drink to the table. • Always maintain outstanding hygiene. • Deal with spillages, refresh glasses, replace utensils, and check with customers intermittently to ensure everything is to their satisfaction. • Handle complaints. • Provide the bill and process cash and card payments or room charges.
