Full-time independent Translator and Interpreter, specializing in the following fields: * Political Science * International Development * Education * Religion * Tourism * Sports * Chinese Medicine As an interpreter, I mainly working at the community level, doing both consecutive and simultaneous interpreting for schools, health and social services.

Different projects over the past years mostly portrait art for private clients, but also book cover illustrations and magazine covers. Focusing on traditional fine art with a passion for soft pastels, watercolor and acrylics. However, I am also proficient in Adobe applications such as Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop.

Assisting the headmaster. Typical duties included: * translation of various letters and internal communication * interpreting between Chinese teachers and foreign students (English <​-> Chinese; German <​-> Chinese) * teaching cultural classes * organising events

This work involved organising the libraries database and gave me a good overview of Chinese classic and modern literature.

Graduated with distinction in Asian Studies, majored in East and Southeast Asian Studies, minored in Chinese. BA-Thesis titled "Buddhist acts of violence: The Shaolin monastery during the Tang (618 – 907) and Ming dynasties (1368 - 1644)". This involved research using primary Chinese sources.
