The Collaborative Research Center CRC 1671 "Home(s): Phenomena, Practices, Representations" funded by the German Research Foundation DFG. The CRC, in which seven faculties of Heidelberg University are involved, will examine the historical and global relevance of the current and controversial phenomenon of “Heimat”. In 24 subprojects, the CRC will analyze concepts and practices deriving from natural environment and sociocultural interconnectedness in different social, medial and cultural contexts.

The project "Paradigm Shift_New Outlooks" (NUPS) draws on the project results from the IMCB22 process and the corresponding international networks and translates them into an independent research format. The following topics are at the centre of scientific interest: - Securing skilled labour and fair migration - Technological change, migration and the future of work - Climate change and migration

Student Assistant in the area of Public Relations and internal organization: - Research for different publications - Establishment and maintenance of the SWP network: Communication and exchange with private and public decision-makers from politics and business (e.g., members of the German Parliament, various ministries, or different business associations) and database maintanance - Preparation of first and second publication of SWP papers, and Collaboration on the monthly SWP newsletter
