I started my own business again in the fast-moving consumer goods and in particular with cosmetics products. I built a line of shops in the region and after implementation of the idea, transferred control and management to my wife.

I accepted the challenge, because my duties required combining engineering skills with those of a sales representative over a large territory as a Country Manager for Bulgaria.The nature of the work involved personal responsibility, frequent business trips inside Bulgaria and abroad, and, of course, daily meetings with the leaders of various machinery manufacturing and engineering enterprises throughout the country.

That was also directly linked with the perfect work of my team, extremely precise identification of the problems of the market, as well as accurate and economically sound proposals that I gave during my weekly reports directly to the company’s leaders. Thanks to all this, the sales results were really impressive. Essentially, my work included giving informed business proposals and subsequently protecting the annual budget allocations, as well as the coordination of the planned quantities for sale each month

My first employer (METRO CASH & CARRY) helped me to build up my personal and professional qualities such as responsibility, commitment, teamwork and most importantly, I was able to gain specific skills in evaluating the perfect balance between the quantity and the price of goods. Moreover, working for one of the biggest retail chains in Europe allowed me to gain detailed knowledge of the methods for handling of specific types of customers, as well as the methods to promote products to the final customer.
