Atin Janki

I am a researcher - data scientist at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), where I work on sustainable data and software management for research software in material sciences. I have a master's degree in data and knowledge engineering with over 8 years of experience in software engineering, of which 4+ years have been in data science, machine learning, text mining, natural language processing, and information retrieval. In addition to helping material scientists with data-driven solutions; I have developed & deployed an explainable search application for English & German text, which won the 2nd runner-up prize at the Infineon Startup India AI Challenge 2020 and was published in a workshop paper at SIGIR 2021. I also have experience in building reporting dashboards, developing search engine applications, performing POC on internal projects, and mentoring junior developers. I am proficient in Python, Angular, Java, Scala, MySQL, Apache Solr, and various ML/DL libraries & frameworks.
