Preparation of load schedules, spreadsheets, and single line diagrams (SLD). Transformer sizing, Voltage drop calculations, Switchgear sizing. Responsible for installations of MDBs, Capacitor banks, SMDBs & LV Panels. Installation of Cable Trays, Cable Ladders & Cable Trunking for all the Electrical services used in substations and buildings. Shop drawings for electrical cable lying and transformers. Preparation bill of quantity, tenders, quotations & materials inquiries as per project specification.

Installation of HV/LV Breakers/Switchgear/panels/Bus bar. Operation and Maintenance of LV switchgear i.e. ACB, MCCB, etc. Operation and Testing of Protection System (Relays) of transformer, line, and all equipment related to the substation.ie Distance relays, Over Current Relays. Overvoltage and under voltage, working with Event recorder and Fault Recorder. Current transformers, Potential transformer, testing, Understanding of control circuits, Switch Gear Protection. Transmission & Distributions System.

This was our group project while studying at University. The Aim was to give less expensive monitoring system for the protection of electric machines. We implemented the GSM-based monitoring system for transformer which is so less expensive than that of “SCADA” system. In our project during abnormal conditions or fault conditions, the electric machines (transformers, motors, and generators) can be tripped by sending SMS, which protected the transformer, motor, and generator from a big failure.
