Building a secure system with a RISC-V based SoC and an seL4-based OS

Maintain and extend the micro kernel, the services on top of it and the infrastructure around it. It's now grown into Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) and runs on over 1.5 bilion million ARMv7 and ARMv8 devices out there - likely even on your smart phone or computer.

Development of a L4-like micro kernel mainly targeting ARM platforms. Implemented various drivers, services and applications on top to use the system in commercial products. One example is the "internet smartcard": an ARM SC100 core based smartcard that connects to the USB port and identifies itself as a network card. It's running full TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, HTTP stack. A nice web server on top allowed user interaction via the PC's browser and a seamless authentication to websites in the internet.

GameCreator was a platform where customers could develop (or better customize) mobile games. I did some work on the server back-end (JavaEE, Apache Tomcat, MySQL, Hibernate) to improve the portal.

SCM Microsystems acquired Towitoko. So the work continued, but now with SCM's HW and SW teams from all over the world.

Development of smart card reader drivers and application software for PCs (Windows, Linux). Implementation of applications on a a stand-alone PIC-based terminal, used e.g. for a time recording system.
