I had my industrial internship in Mechanical and Industrial Department (DIMI) at UNIVERSITÀ DEGLI STUDI DI BRESCIA in association with two industries in Italy. I was assigned two projects associated with two leading companies of Brescia. One of my projects dealt with the Heat treatment of aluminum wheels in association with “Cromodora Wheels” and the other one with the cavitation erosion of cast iron in association with “Drag flow”.

I worked at the Veolia headquarters in Paris with the team of Veolia to conduct a project “Sustainable-land: management for a future sustainable neighborhood” which combines treatment, recovery and significant reduction of waste, reduction in domestic water consumption by means of special sensors, energy generated from the bio-gas produced by sewage sludge extracted from waste water and organic waste, and buildings with improved energy efficiency.

I have been also involved in extracurricular activities along with my studies, which includes recent “Shell Eco-Marathon Asia 2015” competition which took place in Philippines, in which student teams from all around the world design, build, test and drive ultra-energy efficient vehicles. In which we acquired 5th position and became the only team to qualify from Oman.

I also participated in ETH Global Summer School, Engineering for Development (E4D) “Sand: an (in)finite resource?”. The main aim of this scientific research was to develop an integrated vision to global challenges of today’s construction industry.

Cultural trip to Aachen, Germany- for an intensive “German language course” conducted at RWTH Aachen University Language Center for an Academic Summer School Program

Ranked 1st in the Bachelor studies of Mechanical Engineering at German University of of Technology in Oman
