Software Tool House Inc provides ARS Remedy Expertise and products for BMC Remedy systems. Meta-Update, our premier data scripting tool, provides an easy-to-use method of automating any ELT operation on ARS data. We also provide fixed-price ITSM data migrations from previous releases or ITSP. We are a BMC Technology Alliance Partner.

Vattenfall used me to increase CMDB data correctness. Ben fixed CI duplicates causes. He trained staff and TCS on Recon engine. A Recon report was run regularly. Ben wrote DupFix, a Meta-Update script to copy missing data to one CI and delete dups. He standardised and guided Vattenfall to use the REST API. He fixed data and BMC issues when BMC Support failed. He wrote SiteMove to fix data with bad sites. He wrote a GUI to guide manual CMDB servers entry. He added GDPR Compliance to Meta-Archive.

Created a GUI for Meta-Update comprising a BMC Remedy application and a Job Queue server, a long term process that can run jobs in slots. Templates are used to describe scripts and jobs are queued for the queue server to process. The Queue server is itself a Meta-Update script.

Wrote and documented many complex Service Requests for the DB team. One included 500 Questions. Handled complex processes. Worked around bug that causes all mappings to be dropped when adding new process variables. Automated question changes, menu and conditional changes, . Automated two reports for Question management, One on Service Requests and approvals. Automated OpCat , ProdCat, and Approval mappings, migrations on a Remedy on Demand platform. Conducted “train the trainer” on the BMC REST API.

Designed, wrote and documented many complex Atrium Integrator (Pentaho) jobs getting data from various LD Servers to determine Company structures, Organisations, Departments and Cost Centres. People had to be placed in some 35 customer companies. Also created two CMDB Classes and wrote AI jobs to load them, the relationships between them and the relationships to the people. Advised on system architecture and usage. Also included SmartIT and DWP.

Customise the STH Meta-Archive for Unisys and help their staff with configuration for their ITSM implementation. Their PoC script changed thousands of Login Names in and automated way changing a 6 month effort into a two week effort for their overseas staff. Unisys also spurred the development of Meta-Update for ServiceNow.

Vattenfall spurred the CMDB capability for Meta-Archive. When they upgraded to ITSM 9.1 they decided that MetaArchive was more capable. They use Meta-Archive to archive data from production to another instance.

Long term Meta-Update customers. Developed scripts to onboard new customers and migrate over 3000 HPSC customers from Spark Developed spreadsheets. Sheets for the Company, Locations, Customer, Vendor, and Spark Support Groups, People, CIs in about a dozen classes, CI relationships, Support By and Used by realtionships. Developed Meta-Databot to help Spark in their Support reorganisation.

Swisscom uses Meta-Archive to archive production data to HTML. They designed their own layout and configured the data important to their auditors for the main ITSM modules.

Complex ITSM data migration from one operating company to eight, new Product Catalogue with merges, deletions, changes, new Operations catalogue, new Support structure, all root requests including Change to Release with advanced text parsing for release attributes (ITSM 7.0.3 to 8.1)

Meta-Update transfer of Clarify ticket database to ITSM Incidents, Problems, Tasks.

ITSM Architecture Role for new Implementation. Meta-Update transfer of customer written Identity and Services database of over 200 tables and ITSM 6 Support Groups, People, Roles, Organisation. Meta-Update training.

Design, develop, manage other developers, for a Web Services integration between a Client Web Portal, ITSM 7.6 Service Request Management, and an external hardware provisioning system.
