Verrücktlichkeit is a name behind the creative projects I am currently working on, that involve working with creative people from the Berlin dance subculture to create and market stuff. This kind of work is totally new for me, and I find staying based in the efficient execution of professional IT/Ops related work for small firms lets me keep my confidence up and leaves in a productive state of mind. It also helps pay the bills.

Built a team, created an awesome culture, coached a lot of really smart and talented people out of stagnation, virtualized everything, negotiated a number of mutually beneficial commercial agreements. Used Kanban concepts to create much needed visibility for everyone into a team that had more stakeholders than anyone could keep track of.

Responsable for the overall maintaince and growth of all non-US computer systems at Epiq Systems. Accomplishments included: Moved a thirty rack high availability computing environment in London to a new data centre with outsourced management, achieving significant cost savings and freeing up the UK IT team to focus on strategically important projects. Trasistioned the UK team into a US based shared services IT structure. Setup a startup office and data centre in Hong Kong.

Responsable for all systems and systems management staff at nMatrix. Built a computing environment and a team that allowed nMatrix to transistion from a software development company to a software as a service company. This transition allowed the company to grow rapidly. nMatrix was acquired for $125 million USD by Epiq Systems in November 2005.

Redesigned and implemented an email system that handled over 150,000 student and teacher email addresses and automated labor-intensive account management processes.
