In a nutshell my role as Enterprise Architect is to ensure that the organization's technology investments are aligned with its strategic goals and objectives, and to drive standardization, simplification, and innovation across the enterprise.

Heading an international team which provides life cycle services for ERP program / projects and global ERP platforms @ Merck.

Supporting divestments / carve-out of the Healthcare businesses Consumer Healthcare to Procter & Gamble and Allergopharma to Dermapharm; taking end2end responsibility for the carve out of all global and local TechOps applications supporting manufacturing, supply chain and quality processes. Strong liaison with the Merck businesses and cooperation with the buying organization.

In this role I was proactively establishing and managing client relationships with the Merck Darmstadt Pharma production leadership team including demand and portfolio management, service and complaint management.

Working closely with Healthcare IT and business stakeholders to define the adequate IT systems architecture & landscape to support an effective digital transformation. The main responsibilities are • building and maintaining the mid & long-term IT roadmaps • supporting the business to make & prioritize IT investment decisions in line with the business strategy • identifying current and future gaps in the IT capabilities to support the business adequately and propose initiatives & solution to close them

Dedicated point of contact in all global Tech Ops related Business Technology matters, setting direction for the application of technology in the future. Proactively establishing and managing client relationships with CH Tech Ops executives including demand and portfolio management, service and complaint management. Knowing and staying current on trends in technology, Partnering with the business on all IT and Digital topics to establish the future vision of technology

My main areas of responsibility are to promote architecture principles and engineering Standards, to drive alignment of as-is/target architecture & roadmaps, taking ownership for digital technologies (Mobile, IoT, VR/AR, AI/analytics) and plan out target architectures, design the next generation infrastructure roadmap for Merck

Translation of the business strategy, value chains, and information flows into IT initiatives ; Delivering architecture roadmaps for IT investment planning ; Identifying and realizing cross process-stream synergies ; Injection of leading trends and best practices
