Since August 2014 I work in Saudi Arabia and support local engineers whilst investigating drilling tools for oil and gas exploration. I have to ensure to comply with global standards and establish processes for maintenance and repair. I am involved in an exchange of engineers coming from and going to our central engineering office in Germany.

Based in Cape Town I supported several southern African countries, such as Angola, Gabon, Congo, Mozambique, South Africa und Tanzania. This required being in and out of embassies to obtain business visas and work permits. When further technical support was required I helped to bring other engineers to these countries.

After my engineering studies I worked on technical documentation and global remote support for drilling tools. Whenever on-site support was requested I travelled to our foreign offices. I used the time to get my MBA degree on a part time basis. Therefore I spent my yearly vacation in 2009 and 2010 in Kentucky at the University of Louisville.
