This research was undertaken to investigate: • Whether the visualisation of bathymetric data using virtual reality systems conveys a better understanding of information as opposed to conventional static maps; • The possible use(s) of virtual reality in the field of Hydrography/Seafloor Mapping.

A collaborative effort between Die Welt and the HafenCity Universität. The end-product was an interactive web documentary about the river Elbe. Responsibilities included: • Processing the bathymetric data acquired for the Cuxhaven-Elbe and creating the 3D visualisation; • Additionally, creating the flight path movie for said 3D visualisation.

Responsibilities included: • Chemical analysis and treatment of the boilers and Reverse Osmosis systems; • Daily collection and testing of water samples from the various systems in the Water Treatment Plant and external units; • Performing Cat-ions Column Extractions for salt detection; • Teaming up with the Charge Engineers and plant operators to stop the crisis of having a volatile boiler system (s); • Supervising and training newly hired lab technicians, interns and trainees.

• Assisted with Topographic and GPS surveys; • Modelled and visualised a plant in 3D and other various GIS assignments; • Researching, critiquing and providing recommendations on various levelling equipment to be purchased for future projects/jobs.
