Ground Operations Engineering Services for the European Space Agency Operations Center

The GOM (Ground Operations Management) team prepares the ESA and external Ground Stations and communications systems for launch of ESA satellites. We then operate, either remotely for our external partners or directly for ESA-owned Ground Stations, the earth stations during the Launch and Early Orbit (LEOP) phase of a satellite, prior to turning it over to the Flight Control Teams in routine operations or to our customers in the case of external missions.

On-Site position at the European Space Operations Center (ESOC) supporting external users of the ESA Ground Systems and Ground Segment

I manage the Darmstadt office, which provides Operational and Engineering Support services to the European Space Agency and EUMETSAT. This is identical to my previous position except that the German operations have been consolidated under the VCS AG name. VCS AG is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SciSys plc, headquartered in Chippenham, Wiltshire, UK

On-Site position supporting ESOC in Configuration Control and Development/Maintenance of Satellite Simulation systems.

The area where I worked was responsible for the Traffic Planning for the COLT STM-64 European backbone. We were responsible for planning the routing of customer circuits from start node to end node via the COLT Network

I was on the Assembly, Integration, and Validation team for the EGNOS project. At the time I was there, we were producing the AIV Testing plans for the system which was still in the design and build phases.

I was part of a team seconded to IABG from BDM, inc. to develop and install a Network Monitoring and Control System for the Deutsche Flugsicherung Regional Kontrolstelle in Langen, Germany

I designed, tested, and maintained satellite commpunications terminals as well as developed network management systems using various COTS software products for various customers, including the US Air Force, Washoe County Schools and Cox Communications
