Two-year validation of the deterministic crop model Ceres-Maize for the simulation of growth and yield of maize crops and water soil balance. Simulations were performed by means of daily meteorological data, and of phenological/agronomic data related to 3 maize varieties (experimental parcels). Different types of soil and 2 irrigation levels were adopted as sources of variation. Meteorology/geophysics(grade 101/110) Experimental graduation thesis: “Influence of atmospheric tides on precipitations” at CNR. Two long time series of daily precipitation data were processed through statistical methods (Fourier transform, autocorrelation, moving averages).
