I was dealing with energy transfer in zeolites-L based systems for developing new OLED devices: - mesoporous material functionalization and characterization; - metal organic synthesis.

I worked on host-guest interactions between SAM of guest molecules (adamantyl, pyrene) on surfaces and supramolecular assembly of cyclodextrins (vesicles) in solution, detected via fluorescence microscope: - supramolecular host-guest interactions studies in solution and at the solution/surface interface; - surface functionalization and characterization; - vesicles preparation.

The topic of the PhD thesis was the development of organic sensors for pH and metal ions in aqueous solutions, using optical indicators supported inside continuous flow devices monitored via UV-vis spectrophotometer.

Five years courses on all kind of chemistry branches, both class lessons and practical courses. Final work thesis of one year spent in the laboratories of the CNR in the Institute for Technology of the Membranes for the realization and optimization of an optical pH sensor.

High school with scientific orientation; five years of classes with mainly scientific matters (like physic, math, chemistry, biology, astronomy) but also some of humanistics (like literature, latin, philosophy, english). Final mark 56/60.
