This lecture covers the basics of computer networks as well as security and cryptography basics. The following list provides an overview about the topics (not exhaustive): - network layer concept (starting from physical up to application) - protocols on the different layers (Ethernet, TCP, HTML)

Co-chair, specification editor and active contributor to documents specifying the infrastructure needed to implement TCG trusted platforms. My main focus are currently user and device authentication related topics.

The TCG is an industrial standardization body that standardizes trusted computing platforms including the Trusted Platform Module (TPM). It consists of companies like Oracle, and Symantec. Editing and reviewing activities in the Infrastructure Work Group (IWG).

Following the discussions of several working groups like the Network Endpoint Assessment (NEA) and Transport Layer Security (TLS) group including the submission of two Internet Drafts in the EAP Method Update (EMU) and TLS working group. Furthermore working on a new SASL mechanism (http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-josefsson-sasl-external-channel)

Leading the security team at Swisscom Group Strategy & Innovation. Tasks include the proposal of security concepts for new services as well as the proposal of new security related services and topics including trusted computing, PKI, IAM, and network infrastructure security. Within the last 2 years launched 2 mobile security apps: CheckAp (https://www.swisscom.ch/checkap) and Safe Connect (https://www.swisscom.ch/safeconnect).
