Directed global media relations, crisis communications, and corporate sponsorships and philanthropy for the world's largest tobacco company. Supervised PR agency and six professionals. Strengthened dialogue with EU officials on the company's critical issues. Directed all U.S. and Soviet media coverage of multi-billion-dollar cigarette export agreement with the Russian Republic.

Developed AT&T's first comprehensive financial communications plan to address Wall Street concerns after divestiture. Helped raise institutional ownership five percentage points. Served on a crisis team to plan and implement a grassroots lobbying campaign against a financially burdensome Senate bill. Targeted six-week program helped defeat the bill. Wrote annual and quarterly reports and key speeches for the chairman and other senior AT&T officers.

Directed employee information programs for one million Bell System employees during the historic divestiture. Edited Bell Telephone Magazine, AT&T's flagship publication for the top 50,000 Bell System executives as well as senior U.S. government officials.
