Leveraging the modest inheritance from the loss of my parents, I started a company focused on utilizing small means to contribute to larger ventures. Taking the name of my dad's beloved Larsen-built sailboat, the "Blue Chip," BCD has contributed to the development of real estate opportunities focused on improving upon underprivileged regions of Tacoma, development of artistic and musical endeavors, and consulting on projects in the fields of genetics and cyber-security.

This role filled a proprietary function and included the organization of company data, inventory, pricing, and shipment. Within my first two weeks I was instrumental in the customization of ERP software, and the transition of the company data from MS Excel.

I performed the assembly of oligonucleotides by way of qPCR in the applications of several ailments, from cancer to COVID-19.

I work in the Biology department and help to maintain the facilities, as well as assist in numerous laboratory procedures, histology, fluorescent and confocal microscopy, and chemical inventory.

Ensuring supplies are stocked and available. Checking and maintaining safety equipment. Handling chemical inventory. Assisting biology and chemistry staff in various tasks including animal handling and dosing, cryo-sectioning, aliquots, as well as cleaning in the lab.

I contributed to microbiological research and attended some of the most amazing classes I've ever encountered. The instructors are some of the most talented and engaging I've ever met!

I focused my classes toward the study of molecular and cellular biology, with classes in stem cell techniques and ethics, developmental biology, microbiology, and neurology.
