Currently provide leadership to 5 Area Managers and hold operational responsibility for services in London and South East England. Portfolio of £5m and 250 staff. National lead on Performance, Quality and Diversity.

Had total responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the business ensuring risk management and business continuity. • Successfully managed the re-registration of 11 Registered Care homes with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). • Managed full implementation of Recovery model to all care homes in group • Implemented cost efficiencies that realised £90k of savings in current year

Work on PhD in Health and Social Care. Area of interest: Ethnic Matching and Cultural Competence.

Provided leadership and direction to internal Care Directorate which provides supported housing in the form of 5 Mental Health Care Homes (two of which include attached independent living schemes), 5 Elderly living communities and over 200 units of supported accommodation for young people. I was responsible for 71 staff and an annual budget of £ 3.7m.

Managed complete performance improvement of Fanon Care following de-commissioning and transfer to Southside Group. Services ranged from Day Centre, Women’s project, two residential care homes, and a partnership project with London Probation service. Responsible for 25 staff and an annual budget of £ 485,000

Established and delivered new service for local community. The services ranged from Assertive Outreach team, Day Centre, and Advice and Information service. Oremi provided groundbreaking culturally sensitive support to this people with severe and enduring mental health problems. In 2000 Oremi won Best Organisation Category in the Kensington and Chelsea African Caribbean Mental Health Awards.
