Nonlinear dynamics and turbulence. Nonlinear timeseries analysis, statistical data analysis.

Studied onset of turbulence in canonical flows (Channel flow) from the perspective of non-linear dynamics and statistical mechanics. Explored the dynamical system framework of spatio-temporally intermittent turbulent flows using numerical simulations. Experiments were performed to determine the critical Reynolds number above which turbulence sustains in channel flow and also to understand underlying mechanisms behind the proliferation of spatio-temporally intermittent turbulence.

1. CFD analysis and design of water jacket for multi-cylinder diesel engines in order to improve uniformity of coolent flow 2. Design and CFD analysis of Exhaust Gas mixer. Proposed a design for minimum mixing length and for uniform distribution of the Exhaust Gas Mixture (EG + Air) at the intake ports. 3. CFD analysis of lubrication system for 4- Cylinder engine to ensure reach of the lubricant to the desired locations
