• While working for Schaal-Given Contracting as a carpenter, I was involved in constructing two large timber-frame houses. With a timber-frame home, much of the wood frame is left exposed, as that is where these houses get their beauty. This meant that all work needed to be perfect, as the new homeowner would be able to see any flaw.
