Together with Tom Frissen and Paul Voncken I have started a design studio located in the south of The Netherlands. We focus on developing innovative solutions for our clients with attention to the user, technology and interaction design.

During my internship at Philips Research my aim was to examine the solution space of possible products or systems around a new technology in oral healthcare. During this project I used an iterative user-centered process to design interactive user products and systems that helped Philips to retrieve insights in what way this technology could be introduced into the market without losing sight at the skills, demands and experiences of the user

As an intern I worked at a business case to set up a new internet platform for designers. This internet platform was a big database with materials and it's specifications (not only scientific specifications but also looks, feels and manufacturing specifications). In this project I focussed on research about the interest of big multinationals and a business model to realize the concept.

Loods 5 designers design office and home furniture with a broad range. Within this internship the focus was the design of a multifunctional innovative bookcase with multiple functions. It should be a dynamic sculpture exposition, expose books, have an integrated television, and most important should be flexible in it's composition. The challenge of having these features in one bookcase was a mixture of form exploration, design research and user-centered design.
