As part of a agile Scrum team, I work on the various legacy programs involved in the leasing process. The programs are databank based meaning, TSQL, VB.NET and C# is my daily bread. Due to dealing with legacy code, the clean code concepts are always in mind. Considerations on how we can improve the existing code base via refactoring, automatic tests, or optimization are weighed against their cost with each ticket.

As part of a small programming team I strive to improve the accessibility data, optimize existing processes and maintain existing programs. This has led to a advanced understanding of the Angular, and RXJS frameworks as well as CSS, HTML and JavaScript. Linux is wildly used in the company and my projects allowing for a good understanding if the Operating system.

As a Software tester for the Speedup product my college and I were responsible for maintaining the quality of the product. To this pursuit, I developed automatic tests in c#. performed bug research in order to determine root cause, and manually tested the product. According the Agile process, during every iteration the developed user stories were tested as well as regression testing the product to ascertain any affects.

As an apprentice at Avira one is able to learn as much as one wishes to. Whether from awesome mentors, or the colleagues of the different departments everyone is willing to offer guidance. During my apprenticship I visited various departments, each with its own projects and challenges. Though dedicated workshops I was able to also learn the nuances and general theory behind programming. Quality assurance proved personally fulfilling and so a greater emphasis was spent in this direction.
