Avenga was acquired in late 2023 and merged into a global group with over 8,000 employees. As part of the transition, marketing leadership was fully centralized. In this context, I was offered the opportunity to leave the company under very favorable conditions—which I accepted, as I had already been considering a break to focus full-time on family life. Now, I’m open to new opportunities and actively looking for the next step.

From 2021 to 2024, I led Avenga Germany’s marketing team, growing it with key hires and owning marketing for the DACH region. Reporting to German management and the global VP, my team and I delivered everything from events and sales materials to digital campaigns—focusing heavily on inbound marketing with a HubSpot-powered lead nurturing system.

Following a promotion, I played a key role in guiding Sevenval’s brand through its acquisition and integration into Avenga in 2019/2020. During this transition, the marketing team was also restructured. In summer 2020, I was appointed acting head of the entire team—and after a few successful months, I was officially promoted to the role.

I’ve known Avenga’s German predecessor, Sevenval, since its founding in 1999. When the chance to join the team came up toward the end of my parental leave, I jumped at the opportunity. I joined as PR Manager and official press representative, stayed for over seven years, and grew significantly both professionally and personally during that time.

This is a position as full-time dad, developing my skills in multitasking, negotiation, and crisis management.

At that time, 22CONNECT was a young start-up in the HR sector that friends of mine had founded in 2012. I jumped at the chance to be one of the early employees and help develop the core brand "Talents Connect". I stayed for around three years and contributed with PR and marketing to building the basis for a company that is still thriving today.

In this senior role, I led the organization of major esports tournaments for one of the company’s most important key accounts.

Following almost four years in PR, I transitioned to sales where I successfully secured valuable new accounts, including a major contract with the main sponsor of a new tournament series.

(Co-)responsible for shaping the public presence of ESL leagues and Turtle Entertainment across ~70 national and international esports events and tournaments.
