As part of the R&D department, I contributed to the development of novel VLP based vaccines. Including molecular biological modification of proteins, followed by procaryotic expression, chromatographic purification, and chemical coupling of the protein to a VLP. Then these vaccines were analyzed in vitro (cell culture) and in vivo (animal disease models). Additionally the quality of the developed vaccines was scored by a variety of immunological assays, such as ELISA.
