Reporting to the Head of Tax Services • Acquiring new clients by advising German companies on their VAT obligations in the UK • Overseeing German/UK VAT, Intrastat and CIS registrations projects for clients from diverse industries • Calculating and filing of German and UK VAT returns, Intrastat declarations, ECSL as well as CIS returns for own portfolio of UK, German, Austrian and Swiss clients • Liaising with German and UK fiscal offices • Recruiting and supervising trainees in the tax department

• Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns for German businesses in the UK, vice versa • Supporting the preparation of VAT refund applications • Working on tax law enquiries from German and British businesses • Preparatory work for registration applications for the Construction Industry Scheme and VAT in the UK • Support of marketing activities for the Tax Department and events • Developing and presenting a leaflet on the subject “VAT invoice requirements in Germany”
