I provide visually impaired individuals w/ the improved ability to travel safely & independently in their environment. Training is provided in the home, community, educational or work setting. O&M training includes: helping a senior safely navigate in the area immediately outside of the home, orienting a college student to classrooms on a campus, teaching an individual how to safely cross a street, or using public transportation. O&M training is instrumental in preventing falls & unnecessary isolation.

Provided O&M instruction to complex needs students on, & off, the Deaf-Blind census & provided specialized consultative services to other professionals when needed. Provided trainings on disability sensitivity awareness for diverse groups of agencies, including the state Transportation Security Administration, state & local police & mental health agencies. Offered statewide, on-site, technical assistance to students on the state census who are 14-22 yrs. of age, their families, & their service providers.
