• Studied the function of aortic smooth muscle cells and their role in atherosclerosis • Research involved knocking down receptors (TLR2 and SR-BI) of the acute phase lipoprotein serum amyloid-A using siRNA and observing the effect on smooth muscle cell function with an eye towards atherosclerosis • Methods used included Knockdown experiments, as well as other various experiments, were analyzed by real time PCR (qPCR) and Western blotting
